7 of the Best Sussex Barn Wedding Venues

Finding fabulous UK wedding venues is our mission and as we’re based in Sussex it won’t surprise you to learn that many of our favourite wedding venues in the South East of England are Sussex Barns. 1. Sussex Barn Wedding Venue - Farbridge Barns

Farbridge Barns weddings are gorgeously elegant and chic. This modern pretty wedding barn has a lovely light, bright and airy feel. We particularly like the stone walls and outdoor space. Set in the heart of the West Sussex countryside near Chichester, the Meadow barn is licensed to hold civil marriages and partnerships and can host 60-150 guests. The space in the barn is very versatile with couples able to choose how they want the day to play out and this includes a bespoke menu created by the chefs. Seven luxury en-suite bedrooms ensure that the entire wedding party can stay. 

2. Sussex Barn Wedding Venue - Hendall Manor Barns

Hendall Manor Barns weddings offer you a collection of beautiful interconnecting barns and buildings surrounding an immaculate terrace, lawn and patio area (great for alfresco dining.) The main barn is modern with dramatic glass doors. The venue includes a converted 17^th Century barn that offers guest accommodation and is built from Sussex sandstone which gives the venue a ‘Cotswolds feel.’ The barn is excellent for weddings and its sophisticated lighting and excellent acoustics make it a fantastic venue for the evening wedding party. Undercover parking ensures all guests can make a dignified arrival (particularly if the weather is poor) and there are ramps to every room to ensure guests with disabilities have full access to all of the venue. 

3. Sussex Barn Wedding Venue - Laughton Barns

Set in the heart of the Sussex South downs in 84 acres of greenery you will find Laughton Barns. The larger of the two Barns is called The Crown Barn that has been traditionally hand-built using local oak, brick and stone. The real character comes from its rustic features like exposed beams teamed with decadent gothic style chandeliers’. One side of the barn can be opened up to bring the beautiful Sussex countryside with far reaching views giving weddings at Laughton Barns a lovely outdoorsy feel. The Apple Barn is smaller but comes with a fully lined marquee so you are covered for all weather possibilities. Drinks receptions can be enjoyed lakeside by one of Laughton Barns’ picturesque lakes. 

4. Sussex Barn Wedding Venue - Northease Manor

Weddings at Northease Manor are always elegant. Set amongst the beautiful rolling countryside of the South Downs. The Queen Anne Manor House is a 17^th century Grade II listed building.  Rich in history and full of character it has a Tudor hall style with a thatched roof. Inside it has beautiful oak beams.  Dress the barn your way to create a truly personal and unique wedding. 

5. Sussex Barn Wedding Venue - The English Wine Centre

A wedding at the English Wine Centre is a unique and original choice. Surrounded by the beauty of the South Downs National Park this venue offers a traditional oak barn with luxury accommodation on site. We particularly like the gardens as they make the most beautiful backdrop in your wedding photography. The venue is a specialist wine stockist so is ideally positioned in giving great advice on which wines to choose for your wedding so this is a great venue for those who appreciate good wine. 

6. Sussex Barn Wedding Venue - The Sussex Barn, Hellingly

This one really does do what it says on the tin. If you’re looking for a traditional Sussex barn country wedding then The Sussex Barn is for you. 400 years old and Grade II listed this oak framed barn is situated on a working farm in the parish of Hellingly. It has beautiful panoramic countryside views. We love it because it’s how a barn should be!  Full of beams, rustic character and charm. You just add your personalities to it and you’re off!

7. Sussex Barn Wedding Venue - The Yoghurt Rooms

If you two are more travellers than tourists, then this one’s for you. Weddings at The Yoghurt Rooms are for couples who like a DIY approach to weddings. Big imaginations are welcome here! Which means it can cater for all tastes and all budgets. Within the hire you get the fields, the barn, glamping accommodation and space to do whatever you like. Great for ourdoorsy, boho style weddings!
