Step Inside Kent’s Newest Wedding Venue - Battel Hall
Posted by Zoƫ on 12.06.2018

Following on from my previous blog post about Battel Hall, one of the newest wedding venues in Kent, I am really excited to be able to take you on a visual tour of this pretty venue and reveal its beautifully designed interior, so you can see how this historic new wedding venue has been lovingly restored.
I think the images will speak for themselves!

Downstairs the lavishly decorated morning room boasts hand-painted De Gournay wallpaper, there’s an open fireplace and the beautiful furnishings complement its sumptuous décor.

The Drawing Room is full of rich colours and contrasting fabrics, creating a homely but also a majestic feel.

The oak-panelled dining room is a gorgeous room enriched with lots of period features dating back to when this grand country manor house was built.

The dining room can be utilised for indoor wedding ceremonies as well as for wedding breakfasts. Alternatively, couples can choose to exchange their vows outside under an Old English Bower surrounded by the incredible gardens.

Moving upstairs there are five well-appointed luxurious en-suite bedrooms, all individually designed and named after traditional flowers; Wisteria, Myrtle, Hellebore, Peony and Larkspur. All the bedrooms overlook the surrounding private gardens.

The Wisteria bedroom a bridal suite is elegantly designed with Doves wallpaper and a chic bathroom with exceptional modern fittings.

I love the feel of the house, how the designer has managed to highlight its original period features whilst creating a contemporary and luxurious twist for the modern bride.

For weddings, Battel Hall will be offered for hire for a 3-night stay, Friday to Monday for 14 people who will have exclusive use of the house and gardens during that time. In addition, your guests can benefit from free entry to the Leeds Castle estate during their stay, so you can really make your wedding a weekend celebration.
Battel Hall has undergone an extensive two-year restoration, a collaboration of the best in British design and craftsmanship. The interior designer behind this amazing work is Francesca Rowan Plowden who is based in Rye, East Sussex.
Later in June, I will be attending an official launch event of Battel Hall and will have the opportunity to be able to see this exquisite wedding venue for myself.
So look out for a future blog post, updating you on my visit…
